Dear Parents,

This week we sequenced and identified numbers 1-16 . Our main focus was attempting to grasp onto the concept of Ayer/Hoy y Mañana (yesterday/today and tomorrow) using our calendar. It is a difficult concept to graspso we please ask that you talk to your children at home about things they did or ate yesterday and today. You may also discuss what will they do tomorrow and get them into the habit of being able to share their experiences using these words. The childrenwere also introduced to the Spanish alphabet. please continue to practice at home.

This week we took a look at the different Barrios (neighborhoods) on our map. We talked about the different bridges we have crossed and made our own with watercolors. Using toilet paper rolls and tape we constructed our own bridges to  see if the cars would hold up. We used different strategies and problem solved  issues we came across making our bridge. We had lots of fun experimenting!
