Every third Monday in February we celebrate this holiday in honor of all of the nation’s Presidents and the birthdays of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. President Richard Nixon proclaimed this holiday in 1971, and we still celebrate it today. Take advantage of this mini-vacation to have fun with your child and to teach him or her about the country’s history.
