This week the Koalas reviewed their shapes while learning about the letter ‘U’, the number 5 and the color ‘naranja’ (orange). The children also learned about Thanksgiving and during circle time we spoke about why we say ‘gracias’ and each student shared his or her photo with the class.
We would also like to remind you that this Tuesday, November 26th from 9-10 am will be our Thanksgiving Breakfast. We invite you to participate in an activity in the classroom beforehand and after the breakfast we will have another activity planned for the students and their parents. We hope to see you all there!
Figura: CÍRCULO, CUADRADO ,TRIÁNGULO, RECTÁNGULO
To review the letter ‘U’ the children learned ‘uvas’ (grapes) and ‘unicornio’ (unicorn).
In addition to talking about what we are grateful for, the Koalas started preparing for Thanksgiving by making ‘pavos’ (turkeys) with their hand prints, painting ‘maíz’ (corn), and making pilgrim hats while singing and dancing to ‘Yo soy un pavo’ (I am a turkey).
The Koalas also went on a tour of ‘el colegio’ (the school) to learn about the different rooms that make up a school.
We ask that you please review these concepts and vocabulary with your child ‘en español’.
Have a wonderful weekend!
