First Grade Class

Our first graders were super excited to come back to school after their Spring Break. They were content and proud to show their USA regions project as well as to share what they did on vacation. It was nice to have us back in the classroom and to experience more fun and learning this week. Let’s dive into Week 26.

This week students worked on recreating a cherry blossom tree in honor of the start of Spring and a beautiful week weather wise. Students also began proofreading their book report for “Make Way for Ducklings”. Students made grammar, spelling and punctuation corrections. This book report unit will prep them for when they have to independently write their own book report which they will begin in the next few weeks.

Students also proudly presented their USA region project which they evidently worked so hard on. It was nice to see how knowledgeable on their region and state of choice they all are.

Students also continued practicing how to measure centimeters. It was definitely a fun filled week with a lot of learning and growth mindset.
